Directing a music video, or any video for that matter, was something I’d never done before!

We were introduced to the band and given a week deadline to ideate, film and edit.

This was a huge growth experience for me. At times I questioned why I even put my hand up for the position in the first place but I knew it was something I had to do, to push myself out of my comfort zone and try something new.

Ultimately working on this music video with my team and under the guidance of my Lecturer Stuart McBratney was a hugely rewarding experience.

Working alongside our incredibly talented eight person crew, I gained experience as a team leader, forming and sharing ideas, storyboarding and video editing in Adobe Premiere Pro. 

This video went on to win best music video at Newcastle University's Annual Newbie awards in 2023 and play for prospective students at the university of Newcastle open day.
