Podcast
I’m someone who is obsessed with listening to podcasts so getting to make my own was such as exciting experience for me.
I recently worked on a podcast episode exploring the Indigenous Voice to Parliament Referendum and had the pleasure of interviewing Thomas Mayo!
The assignment brief was to choose a hypothetical client (in this case I chose Triple J) and create a 7 - 15 minute podcast episode for this client.
I chose the topic of an Indigenous Voice to Parliament and created an explainer style video for young people who wanted to know more about the topic.
Overcoming various challenges along the way with interviewees cancelling and being shut down for an interview over and over I was fortunate enough to secure an interview with the wonderful Thomas Mayo.
Despite the zoom quality audio, I think the podcast turned out amazing!

Hi Jacquelyn, Congratulations on getting Assessment 3 finished! Well done, I’ve enjoyed this podcast and learned quite a lot from your interview with Thomas Mayo. Obviously, having him in the studio would improve the quality of it but we knew this was what you were working with. Re-establishing your guest maybe once or twice through the interview would be good as it helps listeners who haven’t listened from the beginning understand who you’re talking to, and what you’re talking about. Your questions are terrific and this is such a solid piece of work. Well done!
